Despite the title, this book isn’t exclusively for artists or aspiring artists but rather anyone working to become the very best they can be at…anything. The book is about that universal antagonist that gets in between us and who or what we want to be. What Pressfield calls “resistance” It’s an incredibly fast read and something I return to for a recharge frequently. I really can’t recommend this one enough. A couple great quotes… “The most pernicious aspect of procrastination is that it can become a habit. We don’t just put off our lives today; we put them off till our deathbed. Never forget: This very moment, we can change our lives. There never was a moment, and never will be, when we are without the power to alter our destiny. This second we can turn the tables on Resistance. This second, we can sit down and do our work.” “Resistance is always lying and always full of shit.”
