Right before we had to leave, I managed to send the elusive roadside scary test piece, “Get Railed” V14/8B . The experience on this thing will definitely be one I won’t forget anytime soon! Wow, just realized this is my 1000th post on Instagram and how fitting after an awesome send of the third ascent of “Legacy” 9a/14d or 8B /V14. The route is short so it really is hard to say which grade to use but it sure is a stunner! The last few days have been nothing short of amazing! Climbing 🧗♂️ and scoring Lambertsbaai on a great day for surfing 🏄♂️ 🙂 happy times here in Africa and thanks to all of you for following along on this wild journey it’s been over the last decade or so with @instagram as a creative outlet. Ménage à trois, 8B /V14. Such a sick one. Two super hard moves that guard an easy bulge top out finish. I figured out the first move quickly and then it took me a bit to figure out how I wanted to place my heel for the big lock off move! Psyched to finish this one off! Another one I am super proud of having sent, “Trust Issues,” V14/8B while in Rocklands. I really felt like this trip I was able to calm down my nerves on some taller boulders and actually climb them. This has always been a struggle for me over the years and I feel grateful to have been able to calm down my nerves a bit and trust my climbing ability. Thanks to @marijus3 for the legend spot and to @lizzy.ellison for capturing the send! #bouldering

Back in 2008 on my first trip to Rocklands, I climbed “Oral Office,” but never tried the left exit, “Pendragon,” V11. On my last day in Rocklands, I wanted to clean up a few of the classics that I had never done before so I was excited to climb this classic! I climbed it first go which made me laugh because it is obviously not a flash but I’m not really sure how much beta I could have remembered from 14 years ago 😂😂😂 man I miss South Africa!
