Pero valió la pena el riesgo, porque tenía que vivir en calma y pleno. Pero en este momento, una generación de personas queer latinas le está diciendo al mundo: así somos y estamos aquí para quedarnos. Y Bad Bunny está aquí para amplificar sus voces. El artista con más reproducciones en la historia defiende enérgicamente a las mujeres trans y a toda la comunidad, y les dice a todos los fanáticos que dejen que las personas LGBTQ bailen, canten, amen y vivan sus vidas de manera auténtica. Un mensaje que no podría ser más importante en este momento. El Premio Vanguard de GLAAD se presenta a los aliados que han marcado una diferencia significativa en la promoción de la aceptación de las personas LGBTQ y nuestros problemas. Y anoche se lo dimos al único e inigualable @badbunnypr . Last night we showed our love and appreciation for Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, the pride of Puerto Rico, also known as Bad Bunny. I am in awe of him as an artist, and as an ally to the LGBTQ community. When I came out in 2010, I thought it could end my career. But it was worth the risk, because I had to live as my true self. But right now a generation of Latin queer people are telling the world: This is who we are and we are here to stay. And Bad Bunny is here to amplify their voices. The most streamed artist in history is loudly standing up for trans women and the entire community, and telling every fan to let LGBTQ people dance, sing, love and live our lives authentically. A message that could not be more important right now. GLAAD’s Vanguard Award is presented to allies who have made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people and our issues. And last night we gave it to the one and only @badbunnypr . And to everyone at @GLAAD, I will forever be grateful for everything you’ve done for me and my family
