Anna Friel Instagram – This is ANNA 2. A few hours before shooting Anna Friel’s two reads for ‘Oh William!’ by Elizabeth Strout, I shot cutaways with the intension of dropping the images into the edit. It was a waste of time. As Anna read I knew what I’d shot earlier was only going to dilute this powerful and highly emotional performance. Thanks Anna for reminding me that sometimes directing is about doing less, not doing more.
