Shiva is an art student from Iran. She got arrested for political activism on the 20th of October ‘22.
I seriously can’t stop crying since I heard that they brought her to the QARCHAK PRISON. It is on the site of a former livestock farm known for extrajudicial killings, torture and other violations of human rights. Current inmates describe it as a “hidden torture chamber”.
This is so surreal. Can you imagine a woman just like us, going through these traumatising events day by day? Maybe she’s being r*ped in this exact same minute.
Only because she stood up for herself and her sisters and brothers. Only because she was brave. Only because she wishes for a better life in which everyone can live free and is accepted for their truth? This is the minimum we can ask for as human beings. This is about human rights. And we have to see them, help them and give them all of our support we can afford.
I am so so so sorry you have to go through this right now, Shiva. My heart is with you.
