Francia Raísa Instagram – Hi Instagram family. We’re getting personal today. I unfortunately now understand the battle of seeing a loved one fight cancer. Five years ago, a few months shy of our 30th birthday I learned that one of my best friends was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer. We have been friends since we were 14 and 30 was an age we were all looking forward to. She did what she had to do when she was diagnosed and sadly the cancer came back yet again in 2020. She beat it, had a double mastectomy, and quit her job of 10 years as a math teacher (at the same high school we all met at) to follow her dream and teach in France. What better plan for someone who was given a second chance at life. A month before she was supposed to leave we learned that the cancer came back with a vengeance and spread to other parts of her body. She had to relinquish the offer in France and unfortunately her teaching position had already been filled . Now she is stuck with all of these medical bills having to pay for insurance out of pocket, which we know can be expensive. @gmonico (our other best friend that completes the trio) and I are asking for help with expenses and to get her back on her feet while she develops the energy to go back out there and find work.
