Kanchi Kaul Instagram – This February Sunday is a permanent mark on our calendars, every year!!! The atmosphere of seeing so many artists come together to present some really cool , beautiful , out of the box art installations in the most historic part of the city on the roads, out in the open , is always a pleasure and this year was no different. Pepsi cola for 50 paise outside school was my version of junk joy in my childhood. Never would it have crossed my mind that I would repeat that with my boys decades later and enjoy it even better 😀 This years theme was “ past forward” and of course had a lot to do with sustainability . To get into somebody else’s mindset into creating an art piece is an amazing journey and learning in itself. Something every child, every human should be exposed to. The childrens museum had some wonderful art exhibits put up by various schools around the city , all put in their collective , artistic and sustainable efforts for everyone to experience . Sitting in the open , listening to stories, surrounded by other kids, grasping it all in ❤️‍🔥 Walking through a museum with stuffed animals , used for research and study, we learnt so many new things including that this art is called #taxidermy . The day ended with a carnival at the derby. The beautiful sport of horse racing, (thank you dad 💖) learning about horses , their behaviours, their track records,how they train, and show off that insane horse power, so majestically. Just marvellous!!!! Although all exhibits were outstanding , Slide 7 really resonated with us ….
