Kristen Ariza Instagram – On the wall behind us, are images of Monticello. This is where we’ve rehearsed for the past 5 weeks. As we moved from the rehearsal hall to the main stage, I’ve kept a clear picture in my mind of the House, the Dome, of Mulberry Row. And as the curtain rises nightly on Sally & Tom, I of course think of Sally.
This righteous show, however, is not just about the relationship between Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson. It is a play about All Relationships. Choices. Sacrifices. The complexity of being human. It is powerful. It is funny. It is relatable.
