Luciana Faulhaber Instagram – When we lost our @sirmumsila his partner @jenniewest.work asked us to write down our favorite memory of him in order to celebrate his life.
muMs was my first artist friend. I was coming out of a divorce, a different career, a whole other life and he said I could be an actor if I wanted to. He was the first person who ever said that to me without adding how difficult or impossible it was. He said he would take me to every theater, introduce me to every person and he did. We met through the @labyrinththeater and those years were all about theater. We sat at bars after shows philosophizing about life and love. In my years of post divorce dating he was there cheering me on and making me laugh through tears. “You are this bombshell” he would say. “Have mercy on these guys” he added. When @jenniewest.work asked us to write our favorite memories I wrote this one and through our loss when I needed his friendship, Jennie reminded me that his words still live.
I wished so many times that I could have one more chat with my friend but he was so unique, so his own person, that I could not come up with what he would say to me now. So I made this film.
With permission of @sirmumsila estate I used his spoken word poetry and turned my favorite memory, my story, into a film. I got to have that one more day with my friend. Thank you @riccoross for your beautiful interpretation of him.
