Richa Chadha Instagram – Hey guys, just landed and reached my room in Berlin, for @berlinale … the day isn’t over here… it’s still Random Acts of Kindness and I wanted to talk about the kindness of strangers. On a day where I was feeling overwhelmed, overworked and miserable, (I am not ashamed to say I have some such days, you shouldn’t be ashamed either :) hanging out in silence with a complete stranger was very comforting to me. She had no clue who I was, but let me into her home. I played with her pets, her family and I broke bread… it was very beautiful to connect with another human being at the level of us just being human🫀🥹 after some kids from the neighbourhood recognised me and came in their blue uniforms and pigtails for photos, this lady asked me who I was… but did her behaviour towards me change ? Not in the least… barely any words were spoken, but intuitively, she helped me relax… I always say, as a race, as cohabiters of this beautiful planet that we ravage every day, we belong to each other… choose kindness. You don’t know who needs it… I now I try to operate from the base of kindness every single day, it’s not easy, I am not perfect but I try. Here’s hoping we all try! Just to be there for one another.
