Saiyami Kher Instagram – 21kms ✅ The @tatamummarathon is back post covid and I had to be there to run it! The pandemic was a horrible time for all of us. The darkest 2 years for the entire world. Personally for me as well, the worst 2 years of my life. Last year ‘professionally’ I had the best year of my career. I shot for 5 projects back to back and it kept me going. It helped me deal with the loss, stress and anxiety which we all faced during covid. But it was never the same. I did not train all year and running was becoming a big struggle. I have never struggled to stay fit or run, so this years Mumbai marathon was very important for me. For me to believe in my self again. Being an actor one lives with a lot of insecurities. Just like any other profession I guess, one is seeking validation/ a promotion/ (for me my next project) from external people, which can get very exhausting. Way more exhausting that running a marathon! I run not only for physical fitness but more for my mental fitness. I find it therapeutic because it’s my time to clear my mind. Running gives me a sense of achievement that nothing else can. It teaches me to never give up! When I run it’s entirely my hard work or my will power that gets me past the finish line. You don’t need anyone’s validation. I try running away from my problems in life but running makes me realise the only way out, is in. For all those who don’t run & want tools to deal with life! I highly recommend starting slowly. See you’ll at the finish line next year ❤️
