@officialfrandrescher im curious for people like me who have worked since they were 10 and paid dues to @sagaftra how when we aren’t able to work for health reasons why our union abandons us. I think we can do better for all our members and I think you’re person to do it. Health insurance shouldn’t be based on annual income. It’s a lifetime contribution. And for me and many others, we have paid a lifetime of dues to only be canceled because we don’t meet your current criteria. Not ok.

My dad. Today is his birthday and as my mom and I watched a coyote poop in my garden (2nd photo) I could hear him chuckling with his infectious laugh. I miss him everyday. This year has been one for the books and I desperately wish he was here to help guide me. He always gave me the strength I needed to do what needed to be done. He stood by my side with love and kindness and that allowed me to go thru hurt and pain with a little less cause he was there. He was the example of what every man should strive to be. A rock. A source of deep love. A guide. Honest. Loyal to his core. Yeah, I miss him. Deeply.

Happy international women’s day. What does this mean? It means embracing other women. Holding each other up. Celebrating each other. And being strong. I have encountered recently men just trying to bully me and I have held firm. I’ll always hold firm. But it’s also acknowledging those men that lift us up and encourage us to be our best selves. They are out there. Men, I see you and I thank you. Women… I love you and I embrace you with all I have.
