Sheila Vand Instagram – I’m gonna share a few more pics/videos from the March 1979 Women’s protests in Iran because the Islamic Regime destroyed most evidence of it (as it does with all of its crimes), so I feel some duty to share what little was able to survive. Proof that Iranian women have been fighting this dictatorship since Day 1. And proof that the Islamic Regime has been lying about it since Day 1.
44 years later, thousands upon thousands of Iranians killed in mass executions, hundreds of thousands killed in an 8 yr long politically-motivated and genocidal war, another several hundred thousand imprisoned and brutalized, millions exiled, generations traumatized, and the women of Iran are still showing up – bruised and bloody and exhausted – asking for the same damn things. Why are they still not being heard? Why do they get NO say? Their message has always been loud and clear and hasn’t changed in 44 damn years.
The sign held by the Iranian woman in the photo reads: “Tyranny is tyranny. It is condemned in any form.”
