I so enjoyed this conversation with Michelle Obama, Robin Roberts, Sharon Malone, Michelle Norris, Sandy Matthews, and Mrs. Marian Robinson as we discussed themes from “The Light We Carry.” I left feeling full and so happy to have indulged in the wisdom of these women…I know you will too!

Returning to Ghana after 400 years with the first black VP of the US is so deeply meaningful to me…yes, I have Ghanaian heritage according to DNA. And I love the policy of the White House to strengthen the partnership between the US and the continent. Africa is an amazing place…the Ghanaian people are so warm, the art so vibrant, the food so delicious…there is much happening here!

We understand from representative Alma Adams and Lauren Underwood that they are optimistic that the Momnibus bills have a good chance of passing this year…before December 31, 2022.
To make sure that happens we are asking everyone to call their representatives and tell them to vote for the collection of bills. We really have the chance to pass legislation that could help save lives…now is the time to act! #blackmamasmatter
