Vanessa Carlton Instagram – I bought this fabric for our stair runner from a shop in the Ukraine. From Andriy in Kharkiv. When the war started I checked in with him and he said he had gone to a family home outside of the city and that he was doing ok. I’ve checked in with him a few times since but no answer. I am, of course, not a priority for him in terms of communication right now. I’m simply a fan of his Etsy shop. Given what we are seeing the Russians doing, I can’t help but fear the worst. I think of you everyday my Ukrainian friend. i love your shop. ❤️❤️❤️
A couple things I’ve been wanting to say:
-Putin’s war is evil (not news) and someone needs to increase the price on his head.
-I hope the world looks at ALL refugees with the same respect we give these incredible Ukrainian people.
Long live Ukraine and FUCK PUTIN.
Ps. These stairs lead to our wonderful attic space which is a guest area and we would take in a Ukrainian family in a heartbeat, as I’m sure many Americans would.
