If you are a keen listener, you’ll realize that most of the solutions to your problems lie in the things that people often tell you, directly or indirectly. Such feedback aids us in navigating life effortlessly, making course corrections on the go. The key here is to be open to taking appreciation as much as criticism. As a person who puts his work out into the world, open to be judged, I might be in a position to say that I receive both appreciation and criticism alike. In the end, how do I channelize those feedbacks will determine how my future pans out. Here’s a thought: How will it be if I take compliments to understand what really worked yet choose not to bask in the glory of appreciation, and at the same time value constructive criticism as a way to learn from the choices and decisions that didn’t work out so well? As I turn 57, I am in the amazing company of my dear friends as we all head towards Chitkul. Din ki shuruwat hui ek surprise se, joh Suneel aur Amala ne diya…Fir Narendra aur Maya bhi celebration ka hissa ban gaye. Pulling each other’s legs and devouring some delicious breakfast, on the way we met a group of bikers called “Amritsar Riders” who reignited my spirits to start motorbiking. And something incredibly inspiring happened on the way. We met a father-daughter duo who hailed from Patiala and were travelling from Shimla to Spiti Valley on a bicycle… Whatttt! Can you believe that his daughter, Ravi is only 8 years old? Cycling through the cold rainy weather in this hilly topography on her own bicycle…Ufff!!! I Salute the bravery of these extraordinary people who set out to do the unthinkable. In the incredibly amazing weather of Himachal Pradesh, we made a stop at Osiya Soshla Cafe to taste some authentic local food. Finally, we reached the “Last Village Of India – Chitkul” and what can I say, the beauty of this place was breathtaking. I know this vlog is delayed but nonetheless, from the bottom of my heart, I hope that you enjoy this vlog and get as inspired as I am.
