happy earth day!
i’ve been wanting to make a piece surrounding the ongoing defense of the weelaunee forest, in my ancestral homelands of current day atlanta, ga. i wanted to center the message of defend weelaunee forest—first and foremost we should protect and center the care of the forest and the land. the working title for the piece is “safe under the arbor”, iykyk. mvto to my mom for taking photos while she was in the forest because that was the seed that started this entire piece (one of her photos is the background for this work)
