My friend Adnan deserves to be able to live his productive life in peace. So much has already been taken, but much abides. In hoping for justice and peace for Adnan, I am also wishing the same for the Lee family. Rabia has often said she wishes everyone could meet the extraordinary man we all fight for. Well, I’ve met him. I consider him a friend, and he astonishes me. In my opinion, 23 years in prison is too long a sentence for a juvenile who has committed a crime- but it’s 23 years too long for an innocent man who has committed no crime.
