Khalil Rountree Jr. Instagram – When I first started training, I hated running. I also didn’t want to be laughed for having bad technique or running out of breath after just a few steps. The first time I jumped rope was for a Muay Thai class and I thought “this could be a great alternative”. Shortly after that I picked up a jump rope from the nearest Walmart and found a spot I could practice with no one around. I would have a big cup of coffee, put on my headphones, favorite albums and skip to my favorite songs. Doing this everyday became a habit and songs turned to albums. Days turned to weeks and after months of this routine I noticed an increase of energy, a decrease in weight and more “pep in my step”. Give it a try for at least 30 mins a day for at least 3 weeks then let me know how you feel. If you’re already an athlete or used to working out then this may not be much of a challenge.
