Life gives and takes opportunities and that karmic rondo surely is defined by outstanding people that enrich that same life and take it to a completely different level. It is a beam of light, of hope and a promise of a better future.
Last night I was honored to sit by one of those outstanding people that defined a big part of my life, that gave me values and an understanding that kindness and loving care gets you to unimaginable levels. An outstanding human being that shaped me to be the person I am today, with all my qualities, success and, naturally of course, my flaws and failures too because that is the Law of Opposites. It was made clear that we need to embrace both sides to grow.
Mr John Hackworth is one of those educators that embedded his passion and guidance into so many students at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi for 13 years. I had the cosmic luck to take in his zest and effort for 3 years. I would not be where and how I am without his work, nay, his love and passion.
While attending the Golden Gala 50th anniversary of ACS last night my sentiment was voiced by all in attendance. The indisputable fact that Mr. Hackworth had the same commitment to each and everyone of us was the song of the night.
Thank you John Hackworth for existing and for shining this bright, positive, caring light on all of us.
