Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa Instagram – Early this morning, before dawn, my father—along with 220 other political prisoners, including students and seniors—was flown out of Nicaragua to the US. It was a miracle we all hoped for, but none of us expected. Now, he’ll get the medical attention he needs. He’ll be reunited with his family and friends. And on Sunday night, in my hometown of Washington, DC, not far from the house I grew up in, we’ll be watching the Super Bowl together. (No idea who’s playing, but we’ll be watching it…) In shock, flying across the country to get to him and hug him, but so grateful to everyone who helped make this happen.
