Thank you San Franciso. Proud not pretentious. I made this poem for my great friend and maker of many movies (BH6 included):
San Francisco,
I mistook pretension for pride, San Franciscans aren’t pretentious they’re proud- and about that they 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 be loud. The things that have come out of Silicon Valley, (including me), have changed the world many times over; it took a weekend of 4 leaf clover, to bay bridge my understanding and to stop being so demanding.
When it comes to the Bay Area, there is not gray area- it’s the greatest city in the world.
He was upset I was making fun of San Franciscans for being so pretentious and thinking their city was the greatest and looking down on people for not understanding that; and more importantly- that people in San Francisco don’t have a sense of humor about themselves or their city. They won’t make fun of San Francisco. So. I guess the irony is thicker than the fog of the bay that covers up the fact that the only thing higher than the rent is Silicon Valley’s opinion of itself. 🌉🌁🌁🌉🙄❤️👋
