Aishwarya Sakhuja Instagram – Bed time habits for better Blood Glucose 

They say diabetes (type 2) is a lifestyle disease and I personally feel most of the ailments we suffer from are all somewhere or the other cuz of lack of disciplined lifestyle. 

1.Eating early before retiring to bed is a good option as it gives you a chance to have some movement in and around the house and as you do that you dont even realize that your body is already working on breaking down your food. By the time you sleep you wouls have digested your food hence no surprise spikes there

2. I personally keep my dinner low in carbohydrates and rich in protein as a Proper protein consumption can help a person with diabetes by improving blood sugar levels, helping promote satiety and preserving lean body mass. The appropriate amount of protein a person needs can vary based on a few factors, including body weight, the presence of kidney disease and the individual’s age.

3. Walking after every meal is a good idea.. movement is a must must must 

4. As soon as you fix your circadian rhythm your body performs better overall . Hence better absorption of carbohydrates and other nutrients. Take your wake up and sleeping timings very seriously.

5. If you want your body to truly rest you have got to say goodbye to your coffee and screen before you sleep. Getting poor sleep or less restorative slow-wave sleep has been linked to high blood sugar levels in people with diabetes and prediabetes
