![Bryce Dallas Howard Instagram – With all the support that I’ve received from my online family and the watercolor creatives here, I’ve been musing on how important community is in all that we do. Because being in community with others is not only about encouraging them but also challenging and really showing up for them.
There’s that saying of “the circle rises together” and I think it’s so true. If we focus on lifting each other up, instead of operating in isolation, the growth and the wins are shared – tenfold. And I guess that’s what community is to me: people in my life who I want to grow with and who inspire me to grow.
Tag someone in the comments who you’re rooting for! 🎉
[A close-up timelapse of BDH sketching two rows of four stained-glass-esque windows or geometric shapes. This one took a while for it to pay off but BDH had fun watching the layers of shapes and magenta and pink colors come together.]

![Bryce Dallas Howard Instagram – What started as small doodles has now become my first official hobby 🖌️ Age 42 and I’m starting something new:) I’m very much so a beginner, exploring all that watercolor has to teach me (which is A LOT!). More than I can grasp in a lifetime, I’m sure, but I’m gonna try!
Trying and sharing something new is both exciting and nerve-racking. But it’s the good kind of nervous. And I show this part of me so that you can watch as I grow and stumble and have a lot of fun in the process. I’ve also been recording some of my thoughts while doodling — mostly musings around creative lifestyles — and my hope is that by sharing these in-between moments of a life as an actor/director, you are encouraged in your own creative journeys wherever you may be!
More to come:) Let me know if any of this resonates with you in the comments!
P.S. A massive thank you to the online watercolor community. There are amazing free tutorials that I’ve been watching and I’ll share their names here. And a special thank you to @kristythepainter and @emjlefebvre for reaching out and sending their beautiful brushes/ books/ paints/ galore as well as @create__d for my first lesson — I feel incredibly supported! I’m a huge fan of you ladies and am endlessly grateful:)
[A top-down time-lapse of BDH painting yellow, red, and orange lotus flowers and tulips. She takes her time, adding layers and blending colors. She is a beginner — which is apparent. But also apparent is that she’s having fun.]
