When voiceover auditions and bookings started going fully remote, when theatrical appointments where I’d normally see incredible friends landed in my kids’ playroom instead of the casting director’s office, when the pandemic had me performing concerts in my studio over zoom… when friends family moved out of the city, when my kids went from one to two- babies to toddlers to school aged, when I launched a podcast about motherhood: my life changed. The pandemic tossed me about no matter how hard I clung to a former self. And there the mommies were. A new community. One that’s embraced me. One that I am thankful for. Especially Neha of @motheruntitled who saw me, first baby strapped to my chest en route to plug away at office hours. Between worlds. I wrote for her site during the early days of parenthood and she became my first podcast guest on Mom Curious. Thank you.
