Daniella Rabbani Instagram – 🗽🇺🇦 I spent the day in Coney Island, Brooklyn, with UJA and their partner Shorefront Y! We assembled 200 packages filled with essential resources for Ukrainian refugee children and then we hosted an outrageously fun carnival for Ukrainian families to welcome them to our community. This is the least we can do for families that have been forced to leave everything and everyone they know and now must adapt to a new culture and different world. But today, we’re playing one part in something much bigger. All across New York, UJA has convened thousands of volunteers to participate in over 50 service projects in honor of MLK Day. UJA serves New Yorkers of all backgrounds and Jews everywhere, and responds to crises around the world, like the war in Ukraine. And since the war began just under a year ago, UJA’s has allocated $22 million in emergency funding to meet ever-evolving needs.
