Devin Lytle Instagram – Over on my TikTok, I made the choice to stand in solidarity with other GACS alumni and come out to talk honestly about my experience there. I really don’t like the feeling of trauma dumping online – it exposes your most vulnerable parts to millions of opinions – but I feel like it’s important to spread the message that we Spartans have had enough. Change needs to happen, and the only way we can move the needle is to talk about it. I would also like to point out that while we did experience insane amounts of religious and sexual trauma while were kids, GAC was not without its angels either. For my part, I can say I had a handful of fabulous teachers and mentors who helped me become the woman I am today, and I am forever grateful for their light amidst all the gray. I smile in this video because my defense mechanism is self deprecation and to frame my experience like a dark comedy.
