The Dryad (Greek myth): a nymph that lives in the trees and takes the form of a beautiful woman. The original concept came from a real life mythical beauty, @vonkruz. I was extremely honoured to receive a concept sketch from Melony when I asked her if I could do a take on another fantasy concept she had sketched before. Thank you so much Melony!!! If you aren’t already following her, you need to be.
This look was created with so much love by my friends Lucinda, Connor, and Sapphire. Lucinda sewed the base garment, and Connor created and painted all of the “wood” adornments out of foam clay. Then Connor, Sapphire, and myself hand painted and decorated the entire gown with leaves, cherry blossom petals, and moss.
