Isabelle Cornish Instagram – whispers…. I’ve been writing about critical thinking this week and it’s provided some interesting insights. Simply put critically thinking can be described as ‘the things you do with knowledge’.
Now can prioritising the practice of critically thinking help us in this modern social media platform? My answer is YES, and I believe it needs to be of greater value.
Why? Well critically thinking is a useful tool for evaluating the multitude of knowledge we are constantly acquiring. It is a practice that can help us to sort opinion from truth, or the opinions of others from our own. Without the skill of critical thinking, we may come to conclusions or form opinions that may be influenced by bias. Critical thinking can help us to use efficient thinking processes that involve, questioning, evaluating, analysing, looking for bias, and forming a conclusion.
Therefore I encourage you to be inquisitive. Do you read, listen or take in knowledge on a daily basis without questioning it? Do you believe everything you see? Can you pause and make reasoned choices about what you believe in and what you don’t? #35mm | Posted on 08/Apr/2022 11:16:58
