This punk attitude is inspired by ‘Change the History’ — a social slogan by legendary Japanese artist and Stella collaborator Yoshitomo Nara, whose work also features in the collection. His ‘Upset Kitty’ illustration is encrusted as a crochet patch on organic cotton boyfriend shirts.

Our Summer 2023 shoot was at The Gentle Barn (@TheGentleBarn), a vegan animal sanctuary in Santa Clarita, California.
The Gentle Barn’s rescued animals help people heal without words, feel connected and inspired, and leave feeling hopeful and restored. They offer cow hug therapy sessions to help visitors get grounded, centred and vulnerable.
We have never used cow leather — or any leather — since we launched in 2001. Instead, we innovate vegan alternatives crafted from recycled materials, mycelium, plants and food waste.
