Madgal Instagram – How do I put this, I’m never gonna believe this actually happened! when I was 13 I found a random cd with Avril’s album on it and as I was listening to her songs my life changed forever, back then I could not speak English and there was no wifi to search for lyrics so I would listen to every sentence in her songs many times and write down what I thought it sounded like because I wanted to sing along, that’s when my love for music and singing started to grow, I picked up a guitar and somehow taught myself her songs and to this day everyone asks for me to sing “slipped away” if I have a guitar around, when I first started studying Audio engineering we had to re-record a track from scratch and I chose “Runaway” my favorite song of hers because that song never fails to make me feel badass, my best friend and I see eachother every 2 years and we have a tradition to sing “ my happy ending” at the top of our lungs every time we meet because that will always bring us happiness, it’s the moment that lets us celebrate our special bond, on my last birthday I spend the whole afternoon listening to all of Avril’s songs while having ice-cream and drinking wine because I knew that would make my day special , I have been wanting to and a going to get a black star tattooed on my arm because that is Avril’s sign and Avril to me represents music and music is now my whole life, during the last few years I’ve been battling my way to happiness through undeniable sorrow and finding out all I need to be happy is here with me, and during this journey I have finally found true love, her new album “head above water” has the same exact concept , for so many years your music has saved many lives and has lead me to where I am today and now it has done the same for you and you can see why you mean so much to so many of us, so yes this is what she means to me and I met my idol and it was the most calming beautiful reassuring feeling ever!
