It was such a beautiful experience living a day’s life in a village house with a family. They were farmers grew whatever they ate in the small land piece they had behind their mud house, two brothers and their families lived together with the mother and father. I tried learning the way they cook and they way they drew water from the well, and how they make Diya’s to sell in the market for money. What a beautiful simple life, I wanted my kid to play with their kid , understand the value of simple life. The travel to the jungle was surreal, away from the city humdrum with almost no network, and sorrounded by immersing sounds of the jungle, stretch of green and not green trees and hills and water and a long drive to spot the majestic Tiger. I kept on saying that even if I dint spot the Tiger it was ok but when that moment came and I saw him crossing me and looking at me and walking , I was numb, there was something in that moment , something magical, he owned the moment and space and he bowled me over. His name was jamhol.
Travelling with my family, my niece and nephew and sister from london wanted them to see the national animal of India up close and personal not in a zoo but in his home, we said hi and he acknowledged 😬.
Glad to meet you jamhole.
