Sepideh Moafi Instagram – Heart is full after a weekend spent with inspiring minds, beautiful hearts & powerful art. I had the privilege of speaking on a @waterwelltheater panel w/indefatigable artists/activists @nazaninboniadi & @arianmoayed about Iran & how art plays a vital role in resistance & revolution. We then got to see the incredible company of @adollshousebway led by @jessicachastain & our very own @arianmoayed in a captivating, beautifully hauntingly rendition of the classic Henrik Ibsen play, A Doll’s House. I studied this play in depth for an entire quarter during my MFA studies & yet I somehow felt as though I was seeing it for the first time thanks to masterful performances, an absolutely brilliant adaptation by the enduringly brilliant Amy Hertzog under the original, inspiring direction of one of a kind visionary, Jamie Lloyd. Nora’s journey in finding her purpose to fight for freedom & equality is a fight that far too many women today & throughout history know all too well. This play/adaptation is an homage to women all over the world, especially the brave lionesses fighting for freedom in Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia & beyond. ❤️‍🔥 زن زندگی آزادی Woman Life Freedom. 💚🤍❤️
