Tatiana Suarez Instagram – The best feeling in the world. People asked me if I felt the pressure of my long awaited return. The weeks leading up to it, I absolutely did. But, I embrace the pressure it fuels me. From a young age, I’ve dealt with the pressure of being the best in my sport. I put that pressure on myself because I want to be the best. My coaches and those closest to me can attest that I put that pressure on myself almost every single day. My mom knows me so well that she sent me a quote about pressure, darkness and being crushed. 😂 From a lift to a sparring session. I expect to be the absolute best and to put my best foot forward. I guess maybe that’s why when the lights are on I’m so comfortable and I shine. I’ve already spent months dealing with the pressure that when my time comes I know how to deal with being uncomfortable. What was once uncomfortable is now so familiar. When I walked into that cage I felt free and most of all I felt happy to be there. Every time I step in the octagon, I learn more about myself. I’m enjoying every bit of this journey. I know I’m resilient enough for anything that is thrown my way. I have proven that time and time again. I’m grateful for my optimistic nature, resilience and the support system I have to help me along the way. I can’t wait for the next one. If you’re dealing with pressure my advice would be to embrace it, harness it and learn to be comfortable in it. ❤️
