Thenmozhi Soundararajan Instagram – The State of California’s lawsuit against Cisco Systems Inc will be going to mediation on May 2nd. The lawsuit accuses the Silicon Valley tech giant of permitting caste-based discrimination and creating a hostile workplace for a Dalit employee.
In June of 2020, California sued Cisco for caste discrimination—marking the first time that an American corporation has been sued for discrimination on the basis of caste and sparking three years of historic conversation about caste equity in the United States.
