Caption : Good morning! It’s not Hawaii, it’s India 🇮🇳 This morning I’m thinking about choices. Life choices. They define us. I have trouble making choices I have to admit. Especially with where to live and who to be with. When it comes to work or creative decisions I make them fast but for life I take forever. Sometimes I sit on the fence too long and that option just goes away. Also, I think the time I take to decide and contemplate makes me more unhappy. Sometimes no choice is wrong, you just got to pick and stick. Example when I lived in New York I wanted to come back home to india but it took me 3 years to actually make the choice and go for it. I was “too fat”, my belly apparently ruined the movie according to the director. While the film went on to be the biggest hit- I was in depression- crying everyday – so now I do the opposite. Anyway I feel bellys are meant to be round. We are so mean to our bellys – I want to be good to my belly for a change. Caption : What is your relationship with your body? When I was growing up there was no such term as “body positivity” For years I was so mean to my body. In my 20s, I used to starve all day, stuff my face at night and wake up guilty and hating myself. This was my pattern. I was always mean to my belly, my thighs. I used to talk down to my body. It was a toxic relationship! Even now, when my belly sticks out, I get mad at myself and have to remind myself – to be nice. Be nice to your cute belly Shenaz 🙂 It’s been an up and down relationship through the years and I wish I could say I am finally in a place where I don’t care. But I do! Not as much of course but I do care -a little. Yes, I eat a lot but I am very careful about what I eat. I still make sure I do some form of exercise at least 5 times a week. I work hard to keep this body strong and healthy and aesthetic. And I am proud to say that – I can still wear a bikini 👙 today and feel sexy!!! Are you nice to your body? Talk to me.
