Now his characters fly through the big screen several times a year where a new generation gets to Marvel at what he created. Stan Lee, a superhero in his own right, had the whimsical powers of harnessing our dreams and making us believe they were real. He showed us that a hero’s strength doesn’t lie in his powers, but in his character. Next time you see a kid wearing a Spider-Man shirt pretending to web sling across the aisles of your favorite grocery store, think of Stan, Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby because they did that. Hello friends 👋🏼 Ça fait longtemps. For those that didn’t know, I decided to take a break from social media a few months ago. Many reasons for this but the most prominent was a challenge to myself: don’t record anything (or as little as i can). It has been an attempt to question my intentions and live through my eyes, not my lens. Our 21st century minds are evolving so fast with the assistance of technology that so much of the anxiety we face as a generation is bred from our inability to be present. Memories are now a feature on your phone. So are self esteem and popularity. So many of the problems young people face today can be avoided in large part if we just spent less time on our phones.
