Dilruk Jayasinha Instagram – It was an absolute dream to be a national grand finalist for @melbcomedyfestival’s annual Raw Comedy competition. And though as a competitor I didn’t make it through the first round in my attempt 12 years ago, I took the scenic route and was over the moon to be asked to be this year’s host! It was good reminder of 2 things; 1) never give up on your dreams 2) the judges sometimes fuck up and get it wrong 😜! Silliness aside I was completely blown away by the standard of the performers and I’m worried about my job security with such incredible talent that’s headed their way to takeover the Australian comedy scene.
