Gary Sinise Instagram – 13 days ago, America lost a great American hero, US Navy SEAL (ret) Silver Star recipient Mike Day. Mike was shot 27 times in a gun fight in Iraq in 2007 and I had the privilege of visiting him in the hospital shortly after. Just an amazing guy. We stayed in touch over the years and on my first visit to Little Creek it was Mike who showed me around. His book Perfectly Wounded: a memoir about what happens after a miracle is a powerful read.
