Jesse Williams Instagram – This is brutal and I’m torn about social media’d sincerity but if this acknowledgment can tilt anyone to look and learn more about the life, action and practice of this giant soul in a human body, I’ll just say this simply… I have been so obscenely lucky and grateful to have been able to know the one called Harry Belafonte and members of his family and Family over the last ten years. To listen and laugh and learn and debate and keep laughing with my friend and mentor who’s wit and understanding and passion for the realized connection of humanity has been a gift beyond measure. I have cried many times in the last 30hrs and might be now. I- we, love and miss him deeply. Knowing he wants nothing from us but to keep going and the fire lit. To accept the challenges he gave and received with his gargantuan spirit and innovative intellect; his unrelenting generosity and leadership; his pioneering and tremendous talent.
