Nirmal Purja Instagram – Everest Base Camp might be home away from home for our Elite Exped team, but what is life here really like? The Base Camp is found at the bottom of the Khumbu Glacier, it is surrounded by the beautiful peaks of the region. We invest in our camp to make sure it is the best experience for our adventurers, with great coffee, a fully stocked kitchen tent and food, and showers, power and electricity. While we take our set up seriously, we also take our responsibility to the environment just as seriously. We follow all environmental protocols, including leave no trace and clean as you go. Our Base Camp is powered by a solar array that supplies all the energy we need. We have a back-up generator in case the weather turns bad – but in general we rely on solar power. Base Camp is a place where our adventurers spend time to rest, acclimatise and prep for their climbs and acclimatisation routines (*or just rest before trekking back to Kathmandu.) Want to join us?
