Scott Clifton Instagram – This may have been the highlight of my entire trip. You may not recognize these faces, but in Italy these are the voices of Liam, Steffy and Hope: Emiliano Coltori @querenzio (Liam), Ilaria Stagni @stagniilaria (Steffy) and Valentina Mari (Hope).
There is a reason the show is so successful overseas, and it’s because of how much time, thought and care is put into the dubbing.
I’d been waiting 13 years to meet Emiliano, specifically: he’s my invisible teammate—literally the other half of my performance in every episode. And we connected instantly, because how could we not? He knows my habits, mannerisms, and speech patterns better than I do, because he has to study and emulate them every day. It was so fulfilling to bond over this shared identity, and he was gracious enough to answer hours of my obnoxious questions.
Not to mention the chemistry between the three of them in person was infectious. It felt like stepping into a parallel universe.
