Ana Matronic Instagram – DARCELLE, the Grande Dame of my hometown Portland Oregon, has left us at 92 years young. It’s her venue Darcelle XV that gave me my first taste of live drag. She’s the Ur Drag Mother, Auntie Em to generations of Dorothys, before we closed our eyes and dreamt our own way to the Yellow Brick Road.
