I have to be honest, I really didn’t love Milwaukee at first. It was a hard transition going from nyc to wisconsin after a whole decade. I thought maybe I would be happier if I moved back to nyc, but as it turns out, I was just deeply unhappy in general and a location wasn’t going to fix anything. I do believe changing your surroundings CAN help, but if you’re truly miserable inside, you’re going to be miserable anywhere you go unless you fix that 😅
Once I got my mental health in check (yayyy! more on that later) everything started to brighten, including this charming city. I’m obsessed with the cute coffee shops where I spent my bad days, and where I now spend my good days. I am now a VERY dedicated Milwaukee sports fan – Bucks, Brewers, Admirals?! Let’s goooo. I’m making new friends and meeting so many cool people. I love the trails, lakefront, antique shops and volleyball leagues. I’m really happy I chose to make Milwaukee my home for now.
