If you are undecided and want to talk through it, please feel free to dm me and I will do my best to reply. The union does not take a strike lightly. In fact, we haven’t struck since 1986. Unless you are one of top percent of a percent in our union, it has become nearly impossible to make a living and meet minimum health insurance requirements. We have seen what are essentially rollbacks in our salaries and residuals as the business has migrated to streaming and the studios continue to claim they aren’t making money (that’s what they tell us, to shareholders they tell a different story). They are spending more money overall and paying us less. And it’s time for this to stop. Sadly this is the only way to make it. They need to know we mean business and that we’re prepared to do what it takes to reach a fair deal. With the @wgawest already on strike we have nothing to lose and this action will only help to bolster the bargaining power of all television and film workers Now is the time. (To seize the day.
