Riding other horses is always a privilege; each horse has many lessons to teach us and it’s up to us as the rider to adjust and learn how to ride THAT particular horse. This ain’t a one size fits all type of sport — It’s incredibly nuanced, intuitive, and really f**king challenging. Each new horse I ride I also gain a little more appreciation for the relationship I’ve built with Rem. A tremendous amount of patience, love, and persistence have gone into that boy.
Here’s to all those equestrians out there that couldn’t take the easy path and had to create their own; it takes a hell of a lot of courage and belief in one’s self and in one’s horse.
