Christina Wren Instagram – We lost our beloved, incredible, one of a kind Grandma Rose on Friday. I got to toast to her life with my wonderful mama at one of Grandma’s favorite restaurants after we spent the week by her bedside. I am admittedly spoiled and hit the jackpot in the mama and grandma department. I am so grateful for every precious moment. The world, and our family, lost one of its very bright lights this week.
She left us in the midst of a wild storm, lightning filling the sky as tornadoes whipped through the Midwest. I’m pretty sure she rode off on a storm cloud; a burst of lightning heading on to her next adventure. Wherever she’s going, they’re in for a great time with that Rosie. Whooowee! This woman is such an example of living life to the fullest.
“Don’t sweat the small stuff” is what got her through what admittedly was often more than small stuff but her positive attitude, persistence and joy carried her through almost 98 years. She played tennis until she was 90, kept up her china painting until the very end and was in the middle of prepping for her next show.
