Dia Mirza Instagram – One of the many privileges is the opportunity to share the story of Indian handcraft and textile. For the @jashnerekhtaofficial ‘Rang Baatein’ in Delhi recently i wore this beautiful outfit by @tillabyaratrikdevvarman. ‘THE VINTAGE PROJECT’ uses heirloom embroideries from Kutch and Sindh and repurposes them as one-of-a-kind kurtas and jackets. The yoke of this kurta features Mukka embroidery from Sindh, which is a traditional folk embroidery where gold and silver yarn are plyed and coiled into circular designs that follow a loose geometry. The metallic yarns are couched to the base with red thread and further layered with copper Nakshi and beads. Dia Mirza Instagram – EXCITING NEWS! Asia’s first animatronic empathy-building elephant, Ellie, voiced by me, was launched at Mumbai’s @jamnabai.narsee.school. She will visit schools across the country to teach youngsters that kindness to elephants means letting them live free🐘🌏🕊️ @petaindia P.S.- It is giving voice to campaigns like these that makes being an artist the biggest joy🙏🏻 thank you @sachinsbangera for choosing me to be Ellie’s voice 💚 Also, Gauri and Prasoon thank you for making Ellie so real!
