A day late but Happy World Bee Day 🐝 Saving bees isn’t just a random interest 🫤Humanity literally depends on them!!!
3 out of 4 crops around the world producing fruit and seeds for human use depend on bees. We do not protect them enough which is beyond foolish…. They are declining at a rapid rate (climate change/ pesticides/ habitat loss) Pollination is a fundamental process for the survival of our ecosystems. We must solve problems related to the global food supply (as it happens we have also completely degraded most of our soil which anchors all life on earth- do watch “Kiss the Ground” narrated by Woody Harrelson if you get a chance) so we really need to look after them at all costs. Fun fact – There are over 270 bee species in Britain ranging from the well known honey bee, to bumblebees and solitary bees.
