A poche ore dall’incoronazione più inclusiva della storia, quella di re Carlo nell’Abbazia di Westminster, arriva su Netflix uno spin-off attesissimo, La regina Carlotta: una storia di Bridgerton, la storia della prima regina nera d’Inghilterra. Questa serie «non solo consente alle persone afrodiscendenti come me di riconoscersi in un personaggio», scrive Marilena Delli Umuhoza ma educa, in modo creativo, alla presenza di persone di etnie diverse in Inghilterra, così come in Europa.
